Travel Retail has been at the heart of our business for over 40 years. Butlers has supplied Travel Retail since the 1980’s and has risen to the fore of the premium chocolate category. In fact, Butlers pioneered the development of the premium chocolate category in Dublin Airport, at a time when the category was in its infancy on the Irish high street. The Butlers brand is exported globally and is flying high in over 50 airports around the world.
Sustainability
Sustainability is at the forefront of the company’s activities. All Butlers Chocolates are made with sustainably sourced cocoa, the finest ingredients and use zero palm oil. Packaging is recyclable where possible and there is zero waste to landfill at the Butlers Chocolate factory. The Butlers’ factory roof has over 7000 sq. m. of solar panels, accounting for over 20% of the factory’s annual power requirements.

Bags of Taste…with Butlers Chocolates
This year at TFWA Cannes Exhibition, Butlers are set to launch two new sharing bags, designed to appeal to discerning international travellers. Each fully recyclable bag contains 30 individually wrapped chocolates made with sustainably sourced cocoa and zero palm oil.

Building on Butlers uniquely Irish credentials of making delicious chocolates flavoured with world famous Irish drinks, The Famous Irish Collection bag contains 2 of the company’s most popular recipes – dark chocolate with smooth Irish Whiskey truffle centre and milk chocolate with the unmistakable flavour of rich Irish Cream. This is the first time these popular chocolates have been available in this style, offering travel retailers an opportunity to meet shopper needs for a larger format.
The Milk Mini Bar Collection Bag contains 4 much-loved varieties, all in milk chocolate. This alcohol-free bag contains 2 solid tablet varieties (Honeycomb and 40% Milk) in addition to 2 flavours of filled chocolates (creamy Vanilla and moreish Salt Caramel). Each piece is colour coded to reflect its flavour. This bag will be especially enticing to Gen Z shoppers; the bright colours have strong shelf impact, Butlers sustainability credentials are clearly called out on front of pack, in addition to containing flavours with popular appeal.
Limited Editions
To underpin the already strong core range that forms part of Butlers classic Travel Retail offer, this year’s exhibition will also showcase new and exclusive limited editions. These include Butlers 200g Pistachio Praline Crunch, which was recently introduced in a worldwide GTR launch in Dubai Duty Free. The Pink Assortment
Butlers will also feature for the first time a new gift assortment, presented in a delicate metallic pink embossed box with decorative sleeve. This alcohol-free assortment is already listed in ARI and Avolta with further GTR availability to follow in the coming months. This elegant presentation box contains 13 different flavours, including Pink Himalayan Salted Caramel, Date & Almond and Butlers signature Milk Orange Crunch.
